As a Child, the only form of medicine and treatments Gloria knew was the medicine Doctors would prescribe and the readily available medicine at the pharmacy. Being diagnosed with an illness at a young age, Gloria was required to continually to take medicine everyday. As she matured she dislike the need of taking medicine and thought to herself ‘is this what I have to do for the rest of my life?’
Gloria first noticed Acupuncture while watching Chinese TV dramas when she was a child. She only thought that it was a historical form of treatment back in the ancient time and is not practice in the present time. Although Gloria has been exposed to herbal medicine at an early age by her mother consumption. It never occurred to her to take herbal medicine herself.
After suffering from constant migraines which Gloria would normally take western medicine to help relieve the pain, she was recommended by a colleague to try acupuncture. After one treatment she felt like a heavy load just dropped from her. It wasn’t until the following treatment that changed her views on the benefits of eastern medicine.
